MEET CHRISTIAN

I was born in Louisville and raised in Crestwood, where I was a Girl Scout, ran cross country at Oldham County High School (Class of 1988), and was named a Governor’s Scholar.

I loved reading, camping with my Girl Scout Troop, summers on the Ohio River, playing piano and clarinet, and running cross country. I met my husband Dean while in college and we married after I returned home for medical school at UofL, where I earned my M.D. and completed my residency and fellowship.

As a Geriatric and Palliative Care physician, I’ve cared for countless families in our community and served in leadership roles at UofL and the VA Hospital. After recently completing a yearlong Congressional Fellowship in Washington, D.C. to advise on older adult issues, I want to make difference in Frankfort.

Dean and I have raised our two children in Oldham County, where I coached at Saint John United Methodist and volunteered as Girl Scout troop leader, and now serve as as a member of the Prospect City Council.

CHRISTIAN’S PRIORITIES

  • Kentuckians are feeling the pain of the high cost of living, and working too hard to not be getting ahead. Working families are the bedrock of our Commonwealth, and shouldn’t have to choose between keeping the lights on and putting food on the table.

  • As a physician, I know that healthy families are the foundation of Kentucky’s communities, and putting families first starts with healthy kids, parents, and seniors.

  • Every Kentuckian deserves to feel safe at home and in their community, and that means delivering effective public safety solutions that protect families and respect our values.

  • Our students, parents, and families deserve strong public schools, caring and qualified educators, and safe classrooms.

  • I grew up exploring Kentucky’s beautiful outdoors and farms, and will work to protect what makes our Commonwealth beautiful for future generations.
